I am happy to announce that the Ted Talk I gave on April 23rd has just been posted on the Ted Talk site, please see the video below.
Thank you Paul for your generous introduction. It is an honor and privilege to for the Faas Foundation to sponsor and partner with Mental Health America and in Canada the Center for Addiction and Mental Health in the development and promotion of a much-needed program.
On Thursday, October 23rd I was overjoyed to present a $1 million dollar donation to the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. This will assist in the funding of their Well@Work initiatives to educate workplaces about workplace bullying.
Thank you Rick, John and David for your generous remarks and to His Excellency the Right Honorable David Johnston for this prestigious honor - which I, with great humility, accept.
To all of you here your presence has redoubled my sense of pride and pleasure.
Having spent my developmental years here, I consider South Western Ontario home. I am a believer in remembering from whence you came. To be recognized, here in Windsor, from whence I came is an honor I shall cherish.
Thank you David for your generous remarks. I should put David's comments about me in context - my mother insisted on helping him prepare his speech. As you have witnessed, she prevailed.
What an incredible honour it is to receive the first Beacon of Hope award, not just for the recognition, but I can think of no higher designation than to be considered "A Beacon of Hope".
Were it not for an Israeli Scientist funded by the ICRF I would be dead today.
